Rachel's Vineyard Minnesota - Unborn: A Father’s Lament

A heartfelt poem by an anonymous retreatant.

You came; you went.
And I forgot.
Or so I thought.

You lived; you died.
And no one knew.
Except for two.

You took no space.
You left no trace.
Except

You called. You waited.
God heard your call.
Then Mom heard, too.

I shed no tears;
as I was lost for many years.
At last I heard.

Now I can see; I own my past.
I have repented; I have confessed.
And God has forgiven.

Now I love you.
And now I know you are at peace,
Awaiting us in heaven.
